Good morning Oppo. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! my wife, and since really that was the car I was considering to add to my collection later this year, I find my self in a conundrum and I'm asking for your help! I have two options available.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
1. Keep my SLK32 and add something new, which limits me to around 25k for right now, but allows me to look at other types of cars.
2. Trade or sell the SLK32 which should give me around 10k and raise my budget a bit higher, but limits what I can get, since I still want something fast.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , which honestly, I have mixed feelings about because most of them are as old or older than my current car, have less power and weigh more, even though they probably definitely handle better. I've also considered adding the E55 and keeping the SLK, or trading the SLK and getting an SL55.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Thoughts? Looking forward to your wise input!

For what it's worth I love the SL. That's my vote.

Criteria of what you're looking for? I could recommend plenty of cars for under $25k. haha

I'm actually looking for something outside what I've already considered, or confirmation that I'm on the right track. For example, SL55, E55, E46 M3, E90 M3, REALLY depreciated 911, etc. etc. etc. Something sporty, fast and fun. Something like the GTI or WRX are out, because I already have something in that vein. Thanks for the help!
I don't have a lift, but I know my way around a toolbox enough that I've done a few things with my SLK and I'm not scared of something that might take some love.

Hello brother.
But I've been longing a Z4 35i for a while a now. Seem to be about $30-35K used, probably could get a non turbo model for $25k. That or the new ND Miata float your boat at all?

Well, my default answer is going to be an FR-S (or BRZ). lol
However, other options I'd go with are FiST, FoST, WRX, or S2000 (you can actually find some nice C/R models for around that price).

I test drove a few Z4s when I bought the SLK, previous generation, and I gotta tell ya, I loved the drive, but not the looks, even of the new generation. Also, I'm a little in love with the "specialness" of M cars, AMG cars, and etc. Plus, I'd be going from 360 HP/TQ to lower power and I think, heavier.

I gotta tell you, as tempting as that is, for a 20+ mile commute daily, that might be a little ambitious!

Ahh I see, well my out of left field thought is then:
Its not German, but its fast.

Very baller of you. I hadn't even considered that. And please take my knock on the Z4 looks with a grain of salt, as I'm the type of person that considers the R170 SLK as a better looking car than the 171 or 172.

FWIW, if I could do it over again, I would have got something boring and practical like my G35X Sedan and something bat-ish crazy like an Exocet, Lotus Super 7 replica, Polaris Slingshot, etc. Pure sports cars are fun until you spend their life either using cruise control on the freeway, or in stop-and-go traffic.
